What versions of TI support Mac? I have TI 2015, do I need to upgrade?
Hello Bertram,
Thank you for your posting! Sure you can use available activations on both Mac and Windows systems. If you already have licenses of Acronis True Image 2015, I may want to consider the following upgrade ways:
- Acronis True Image 2016 Upgrade (1, 3, 5 computers) - for local backup on Windows and Mac machines;
- Acronis True Image Cloud Upgrade (1, 3, 5 computers) - for local and cloud backup on Windows and Mac machines; also allows to backup mobile devices to Cloud.

So does TI 2015 support Mac OSX El Capitan latest versions? I do not need cloud backup.
I din't see where to download Mac version of TI on web site.
Hello Bertram,
Acronis True Image 2015 does not support OS X. There was a separate edition called Acronis True Image for Mac back in 2015. And now both Windows and Mac systems are supported in the current version Acronis True Image 2016. I would recommend you to install a free trial first.
Thank you,

Ekaterina,
I never had time to install my 2015 in my Mac (only reason why I bought that version) and now I can't use it because it does not support OS X? Doesnt make sense. Who should I contact to see how I can solve my problem and use my license that I bought for my Mac?
Hello Paola,
Amt emulator for mac reddit. I've checked the products registered under your account and see, that you have Acronis True Image 2015 for PC and Mac Upgrade (3 computers) keys. These very keys can be used on both Windows and OS X operating systems. To download the installation file for Mac, please log in to your account and under Acronis True Image 2015 click on Downloads. Then you will see a drop-down list, where you can switch between Windows and Mac (screenshot attached).
Here you'll also find more information on our licesing for Acronis True Image 2015.

The title pretty much says it all. I cannot try to recover data from my backup files in any manner because when I try to create bootable media on a USB stick I get the message:
'An error occurred while creating media.
Failed to create bootable media, because OS X Recovery could not be found.'
It is also the case that a previously created USB Stick with the backup media, for Mac OSX 10.10 will not boot the computer, despite the fact that it has before. This is a late 2013 iMac.
This is fairly absurd. How do I make the product work? I am running Acronis True Image for PC and Mac V 1.0.6564 and no later version seems to be available to me. I'd use Universal restore created in Windows (same machine) but it stops due to an apparently missing driver..a driver that doesn't seem to exist anywhere in the world let alone on my machine.
Wow. Not a single response. I know this is not Acronis Support, but I had hoped someone would be able to chip in, and indeed that someone from Acronis Support itself would at least monitor. I knew the userbase would be more useful if anyone was able to help. The problem I am having is an awfully basic one that genuinely renders the product useless. I have been an Acronis user for about 7 years. I moved my company to Acronis about five years ago, and have recommended the product to a number of F500 client. On the one occasion I have used Acronis Support they were entirely useless and kept trying to get me to pay more and more - far more sales than support. With this new travesty, and all the complaints I am reading on the Mac and Windows sides (we use both), I have to think it is time to look at other options, and to advise our clients to do the same. It's a sad day; the product used to be *so* very good, even if the support wasn't.
Hello Banango,
I apologize for the delayed answer.
The error 'An error occurred while creating media. Failed to create bootable media, because OS X Recovery could not be found.' means, that Recovery HD does not exist or is damaged. And Acronis Bootable Media is created on base of Recovery HD.
There might be different causes, why the Recovery HD is missing or is damaged.

Kind regards,
I am having the same issue on my MAC. I have noticed that Acronis does not work well at all with MAC. I was never able to get it a solid scheduled backup; it is always failing. Even when I tried to create a rescue USB, It never passed, and still failed.
Best to user superduper it is much faster and robust.

Hello, could you provide more details on the issues? What are the error messages? Have you contacted Acronis Support on this?

Acronis For Mac Torrent
As in the demand above, this error does not depend on Acronis True Image, unfortunately. Acronis True Image uses the macOS Recovery HD to build the bootable media on.
Crucial Acronis For Mac
If your Recovery HD is damaged/mismatching the OS version/does not exist, the bootable media creation fails as Acronis True Image does not have the OS base to build it on.
The same articles as above may help to update the Recovery partition on your Mac:
