At this point in time it is not known whether anyone has ever even tried, much less been successful, in installing and running SAS for Windows on Apple's new Intel chipset-based Mac hardware, running Windows in a 'native' mode (using Apple's new Bootcamp facility) to install and run SAS. 'Theoretically' it should be possible -- and in fact employees of at least one 'Apple Store' claim that it should be 'a no brainer.'
Despite obvious advantages like easy sharing and no need to ever worry about storage space limit, things do not turn out so well when we can’t connect to the Internet. Sas For Macro
Why is it not known? See Running SAS on Macintosh OS X 10.4 and Above. Also several SAS-L posts have discussed the matter.--Howles 23:08, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
I am running SAS 9.1.3 on a 2.0 GB MacBook running OS X 10.5. I am using a VMware Fusion 1.1.2 VM running XP Pro with 1.0 GB of memory assigned to Windows. I found the install of XP to be as easy as doing it on a PC and installing SAS on this VM was exactly the same as doing it on a Windows PC. I have not had any out of the ordinary problems with either the guest or host operating system during this time.
Sas For Macbook Pro
I have found the entire process of setup to be intuitive and using XP and PC SAS on my MacBook useful and enjoyable. I don't think that you have to be an expert in Windows or OS X - I for sure am not. I have found myself using this configuration more and more due to how nicely it works.

Also JMP on OS X is nice and is native so Windows is not needed. It may be an overall better solution, especially if you have access to a SAS server.
